To the song "Pulling Strings" by Jason Schmidt, I created a piece about the feeling of imposter syndrome, wondering if you deserve what you have earned, or if you could have done things differently. As the piece progresses, the dancers try to fit into categories, or change each other, or rewind the past, but in the end, they realize that who they are is enough, and they have worked hard for what they have achieved, and should be proud of their success.

To the song "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles, performed by Adam Payne and Cinematic Pop, my Vice President and I co-created a group production of the members of our dance company. This piece was about how people all go on about their daily lives, and sometimes miss others' need for help, because we are so caught up in our own problems.

Lonely People - Fall Showcase 2025

To the song "Vienna" by Billy Joel, I orginally created this piece for for a class, where I created a duet, where one dancer is the old version of the other, telling her to slow down, and its ok to enjoy the present and life. I used the song Vienna to tell the story I was protraying. Then, a few semester later, I re-created the piece with four dancers for our showcase, keeping the same storyline, but this time there were three dancers from the future trying to warn and slow down the present day dancer.

Final Call

To the song "Work Song" by Hoizer, I created this piece for a final project in the class DAN 398 (Contemporary Techniques and Methods). We had to create a piece inspired by a dance influencer of our choice, and I chose Robert Roldan from SYTYCD. This dance was about making an imaginary person next to me, or someone to fight for, even though the other person was my subconscious. The song's inspiration came from the show 911 (Season 8, episode 15).
